As part of my sister's high school graduation project, in which she performed the play "Gittersee", I was privileged to design the poster and flyer as well as take care of the photography.

The play is about Stasi surveillance in the GDR. Central elements in the play were the cigarette and the typewriter. I used the visual element of the KARO cigarette brand, which was popular in the GDR at the time, as well as a pixelated structure to symbolize the opaque machinations of the Stasi.
